Is Cheating a Sin?

The book of Corinthians gives the answer we seek to the question, “Is cheating a sin?” The end of the verse tells us that ‘ love does not dishonor others; it is not self-seeking.’ The Bible also tells us in the book of Matthew, ‘You have heard it said, you shall not commit adultery. But I tell you, anyone who looks at a woman lustfully is committing a sin.” Quite clearly, then, any sexual actions taken with one that is not your spouse is a sin.

You can always talk yourself into believing other things as the truth. These are God’s words, and for those who are religious, those who follow a God, whichever God that is, it is the same across the board. We are told in Proverbs that whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him, it is a sin.

NonReligious

Those who do not believe in any God will likely never believe that cheating is a sin. They may consider it wrong and be hurt, they may end a relationship over it, but they would not call it a sin.

Cheating In Other Areas

Even cheating on a test at school or college is dishonest and would be considered a sin. If you take shortcuts at the job or use fewer materials in a building, that is dishonest. God has stated we are to follow the light and leave the darkness. We are not to allow temptation into our minds or heart.
