How To Find A Girlfriend As A Teenager

Being a teenager is difficult at best. You have so many things happening right now; it is unreal. Even seeing a certain girl at school gives you butterflies. How does a teenage boy manage to find a girlfriend that he feels comfortable dating?

At School

There are loads of girls at your school. You have friends that are girls, and your friends have friends that are girls. It may seem like it is an awkward stage for you, but you are not alone. There are many other teenage boys that are going through the same thing as you. You have school activities that many of you go to football, basketball, plays, and so on. I am sure there is a movie theater in your vicinity.

When you see the girl that makes you smile, you can mention one of these games or a movie and see how she reacts. If she states that she is planning on going, you can ask if she would like to go with you. Watch for her reaction; if it is a definite ‘No’, then I would back off. She may not have an interest in you at the time. If she smiles and says anything other than no, then you are open to making a different suggestion.

Pay Attention To Her

Teenage girls are all about them. She likes it when a boy focuses on her. Use manners and open the door for her. Offer your jacket if she seems cold. Make the date about her. Please don’t offer to get her a drink; ask what she would like to drink.

When On A Date

When you are out on a date with the girl that sparks your interest, put your phone away. This date is not about playing the newest game or harassing your friends over stupid things. There should be no reason that you need to have your phone out.

Be There For Her

When you want to date a girl, be there. Be the one to ask her out. Ask her thoughts about subjects at school, the big game, or even the teachers. Do not leave it up to others to do the talking for you.

Be Confident

Stand tall, be you, and look her in the eyes when you ask her out. Do not act rejected before you even ask the question. When you look and act confident, she will feel confident when with you. Being self-assured also means taking care of yourself so that you are confident you have no unpleasant odors about you. Take care of your hair, your clothing, and brush your teeth. One of the biggest turn-offs for a female is a guy that does not take care of himself and who has bad breath or funky odor. If you want her to like you, like yourself enough to take proper care of yourself.

Make Small Talk

Yes, small talk can work wonders to get the conversation going. If you share a class, you can mention the test coming up or some stupid thing the teacher had said that day. If you do not actually know each other yet, introduce yourself.

Make Her Laugh

There are many ways that you can make her smile, get her to giggle. Telling jokes that are not rude or crude may work, showing up with a clown nose on your face or asking her if she is ready to go skydiving when you are actually going to a movie. If you have her number, you can send funny pictures or jokes to her.

Listen To Her

Make sure that you listen to her when she talks. Look her in the eyes so that she knows you are listening. Girls love to know that they are being heard.

Never Decline an Invitation From a Girl 

Never, ever turn down an opportunity to hang out with her and your buddies even when you meer for gaming, sports, or whatever reason. Remember, she has feelings too. She may have already canceled plans she had with her friends to go out with you. Be considerate in that aspect.

If She Rejects You

If she turns you down completely, take the high road. Please do not get angry and call her names that are not true. Tell her you understand and that you wish things were different, but it is okay. By staying decent, you may find that one of her friends is interested in you. So being rude is not going to gain you any points from them.
