Parks

Where else does one go to let the kids burn some energy off? There is a lot that can be done in a park, including playing, jogging, walking the dog. The weekends are usually the best time to find the single dads at the park playing or watching their child play. So, next weekend head over to the park. If you have a kid of your own, great, this will be a great conversation starter. If you have a dog, that is excellent because most single dads love dogs too.

A single dad is likely on any number of online dating sites. Match, FarmersOnly, and EliteSingles are a few of them. If you want to meet a single dad, join a site, and create an interesting profile. Include some great photos of you, and wait for the matches to happen. Another option is, of course, Tinder. You can set your criteria to over a certain age, and you can screen your single dads. To not get scared away from thinking that Tinder is just for hookups, people still search for meaningful relationships on Tinder. Or, if you are looking for a fling with a single dad because that is your thing, Tinder is a great place for that too. 

School Events

All schools have school events. Whether it is sports, PTA, or school plays, you would be able to find plenty of single dads in the audience or participating on the sidelines. Single dads find great joy in being able to coach their kid’s sports teams. This is probably the best way to also spot single dads because if they are still married, they usually attend these meetings together.

When many single parents want some quiet time, they head to the gym. This would be a fun place to meet a single dad. They are there trying to improve themselves so that they are better; you are there to also get in shape. It is not difficult to strike up a conversation at the gym. Community Education classes offer many different options, from cooking to painting and sewing to learning a language. The benefits here would be learning something new as well as meeting a new man for you.

There are local sports in many areas: kids, baseball or softball, soccer, or swimming classes. You will find that single dads make an effort to give their children the best they can at all times.

You may have minor league baseball teams in the area that play against other teams.

At Work

Yes, believe it or not, you will find single dads at work. You may work in a different department or different shifts, but they are there. Keep the company Christmas Party open on your calendar; you could very well make a match.

Although the warning must be given that many companies today have instituted rules against dating a coworker, you can check into how this works if you are in completely different departments.

Support Groups For Single Parents

You can look up and see if your town or one close to you has support groups for single parents. There is guaranteed to be single fathers as well as single moms there. This support group is good to be part of since other parents may have ideas that you can try for your own kids.

Around Your Neighborhood

Would it shock you to learn there are single fathers in your neighborhood? It shouldn’t; they need to live somewhere too. If no one has started them, arrange a neighborhood gathering or grill out.
