How To Get A Girlfriend In A New City

You landed a great job in a new city, and you managed to find a place and make the move. Life is settling down a bit now. Work is going good, you speak to family and friends quite often, yet you realize what you are missing. It may be time to get out and check out the possibilities of getting a girlfriend.

Try Online Dating

There are so many popular apps for online dating now that it can become confusing. Tinder is known for hookups, Match, as well as many others, are all available options. They all have decent records for matching people.

The process is simple enough. Join up, fill in a profile with some catchy lines and great pictures, and wait for the matches to roll in.

Get Out

You are new to the town, another great way to meet people and maybe find a new girlfriend is to get out and explore. See what there is to see in town or in your city. You may be surprised to see that there are multiple gyms, yoga, coffee shops, theaters, and bars. There does not seem to be any shortage of activities to do where you live.

Attend Church

New town likely means a new church. Begin attending, and be sure to introduce yourself during the coffee hour. Meeting another single or two at church is a great benefit seeing as how you both have faith and attend church.

Get a Dog

Yes, I said it. Getting a dog will get you a girlfriend in a new city, or at least increase your chances. Do take the puppy out for a walk. There are tons of people who have pets that need to be taken out for walks. There are also many people who go through the parks just to jog and get a run in. But, who can actually run past a pooch without stopping to say hello?

How To Find A Girlfriend In A New City

Join a Club

Many big cities have an abundance of different clubs. There is bound to be one that you find interesting. Some big cities have clubs that wear roller skates and skate throughout the city once a month.

You may find a painting club or book club if you are into that. Swimming, theater, dancing are a few other ideas that you may find. Joining a gym can also be a great way to both get back into shape and find a girlfriend. Personally, I am not the one to hit on girls in the gym, but it is a great way to meet people and socialize.

Speed Dating

Many of the busier metropolises offer speed dating nights. This is where there will be an equal number of men and women registered. One group will sit at separate tables, and the others will take turns via a timekeeper, stopping and trying to get to know the women at each table. The women can ask questions as well as the men. If two people think they would make a match, they exchange phone numbers.

Volunteer

There is no cause that will turn away volunteers when they need them. You could volunteer at a soup kitchen, at a school, a library, food shelf, or any other number of places that need help.

Go For Some Coffee or Something

When you get thirsty, stop for a cup of coffee or a refreshment. There is usually a single lady or two that is thirsty and will be there enjoying a midday coffee. Strike up a conversation. You never know where it might lead.

Social Networking

Join different social networks, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are good for networking and creating friendships. Some of these will also have a variety of groups with a wide range of interests. Find one that is an interest of yours and join. Join more than one. Maybe you will become part of a group that has get-togethers at different locations throughout the city.
